Hi and welcome to my Equestrian Academy!

I’m often asked by Pony Club members – and their parents, where is the best place to find reliable information to support their training.

There is a lot of information available, but to find a concise, down to earth, practical guide was difficult so this then led me to create my online Equestrian Academy – hopefully these guides will fill that gap!

A Bit About Me

• I am a BHSI Accredited Professional Performance Coach.

• I’m also a Chief Pony Club Instructor and a Pony Club Assessor up to A Test level.

• And I hold the Cert Ed. having previously been a lecturer in Equine Studies at the College of West Anglia.
  
  

I’ve helped and trained members through Pony Club tests for many years.
When assessing candidates I have seen plenty of people do really well—and others trip up on small things that could so easily have been avoided.

Using the Study Guide

• Everything in the test is covered in the same order as listed on the test sheet.

• You’ll start to recognise how it applies to your own horse and other horses you might work with so starting to feel more confident to share your experiences and not just repeating what you’ve read.

About the Tests

• Pony Club tests are about producing practical, confident horse people with sound theoretical knowledge to back up their skills.

• You will still need to work with a Pony Club coach who knows exactly what’s expected at each level.

• This study guide is here to support your training, not to replace hands-on practice.
